Traditional Karate · Est. in the old way

Tie the Belt. Do the work.

No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Just structured instruction in traditional karate — stance, kata, kumite — taught the way it was handed down. Beginners bow in every week.

The Dojo

Not a gym.
A practice.

People come in wanting to get fit and stay for something harder to name. The mat is honest — it tells you exactly where you are, every single session.

We teach traditional karate: basics drilled until they're boring, then drilled past boring until they're yours. Kata for structure. Kumite for truth. Etiquette because it's the container that makes the rest possible.

Our floor runs on rank, not ego. A senior student's job is to bring the next person up — that's not a slogan, it's how the class is physically organized. New students train beside black belts from week one.

You do not need to be fit, flexible, young, or brave to start. You need to show up, bow in, and be willing to be a beginner in front of other people. Everything else is the curriculum's job.

Discipline

You show up on the days you don't feel like it. That's the whole technique.

Respect

Bow at the door, bow to your partner. Rank is earned and it's also a duty.

Technique

Correct beats fast. Fast comes later, and only ever from correct.

Ranking

The long road.

Grading is held on a set cycle. You test when your instructor says you're ready — not when the calendar says so.
